VOLUNTEER
Join the River Nile School Volunteer Team – Make a Difference Today!
At River Nile School, we’re always on the lookout for passionate and dynamic volunteers to join us in making a meaningful impact in the classroom. Volunteering with us isn’t just about giving back—it’s about being part of a vibrant community, sharing your skills, and creating lasting change.
People from all walks of life join our volunteer team because they want to make a difference. Whether you have a few spare hours each week or a wealth of experience to share, we welcome you! Our volunteers typically dedicate around two hours weekly during term time, helping us deliver transformative education programs.
Many of our volunteers stay with us for years, becoming integral to our community, and some even transition into permanent roles at RNS. If you’re curious about a career with us, volunteering is a fantastic way to explore the opportunity while contributing to our mission.
Classroom Support Volunteers
Our dedicated classroom volunteers play a vital role in delivering our education programs. Working closely with students in small groups or one-on-one under the guidance of teachers, classroom volunteers help foster learning and growth. This role requires flexibility, patience, and an understanding of diverse student needs, as all our students come from refugee or asylum seeker backgrounds. Experience in teaching, education support, or working with refugees and asylum seekers is especially valuable.
